Architecture
Building Design+Construction magazine recognized Sara Snodgrass in its 2008 "40 Under 40" competition honoring 40 outstanding young design and construction industry professionals. She has more than 16 years of industry experience and was recently appointed to the Tennessee Board of Licensure of Health Care Facilities by Gov. Phil Bredesen. Snodgrass, CEO of The CFP Group LLC, provides oversight within her firm specializing in medical facility design.

Engineering
Smith Seckman Reid Inc. has announced these staff promotions:

Mike Bernard and James "Bo" Butler are team leaders in the civil engineering division. Bernard was a project engineer, with particular expertise in the design and administration of civil, water and wastewater projects. Butler was a project engineer, specializing in water and sewer line design.

Steven "Rusty" Ross and Jim Seckelare team leaders. They are responsible for the overall management and direction of multimillion-dollar projects for SSRCx, a wholly owned commissioning subsidiary of the firm. Ross was previously director of commissioning services for SSRCx. Seckel was senior manager of commissioning services for SSRCx.

George Johnson is a team leader in the sports division, where he is in charge of the management of sports facility projects. He was a senior project manager, focusing on mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Sarah Holleyand Brian Lucas, civil engineers at LandDesign's Nashville office, have earned certification as registered professional engineers. Holley is a manager focusing on residential developments in Middle Tennessee. Lucas is a manager specializing in urban infill site design, hydrology and storm water quality.

Ross Bryan Associates Inc. has announced these staff changes:

Donald E. Yarbrough has been named a principal.

Randall A. Wilson has earned the designation of licensed professional engineer. He is a structural designer and project manager.

Brent A. Thornton, a structural designer and project manager, has earned the designation of licensed professional engineer.

J. Anthony Vaughn, principal at NAI Nashville, has been named to the NAI Global Elite.

Laurie Lyza has been named director of marketing for Crossville Inc.

Daniel P. Combs joins Baker Storey McDonald Properties as junior investment banker. He will focus on the acquisition of retail investment properties.
