Vitamin Shoppe planning store in Franklin

The Vitamin Shoppe plans to open a 4,000 square-foot store in Franklin.

The store, a free-standing building, will be located on Galleria Boulevard and will be the retailer's third store in Tennessee. Company officials expect the Franklin site to open in the first quarter of 2004.

"The Vitamin Shoppe's expansion plan targets new locations with strong demographics in highly visible retail locations, and this new store in Franklin perfectly fits our strategy. Our new store will be located across from the entrance to the most prestigious malls in the Nashville
marketplace," says Corey Bialow, Director of Real Estate for The Vitamin Shoppe.

David Baker of BSM Properties represented The Vitamin Shoppe in this transaction. Cool Springs, LLC is the landlord of the property.

Founded in 1977, the Vitamin Shoppe has more than 140 stores nationwide and is one of the largest specialty retailers and direct marketers of nutritional products in the country
